Overall Purpose To coordinate operation at our new terminals, in Odessa (Brooklyn – Kiev) and Azov. For this latter a coordination of transshipment operation at Kavkaz anchorage will be necessary for part of the tonnage (circa 500,000.- MT) The operator will need to ensure a smooth intake and thus interact with our local offices in Russia and Ukraine, with our logistic contract partners and occasionally with our suppliers (if not handled by our local office ) . With this intake coordination operator will manage off take and provide trading with loading slot, quantity expected and arrange for export documentation. A good knowledge of our current (Odessa since we already started) and future (Azov) counterparts is necessary. A smooth relationship with our local office is a must (priority to Ukraine where largest volumes) and of course a fluency in Russian and Ukrainian language Objectives: Perform the execution with accuracy, efficiency without delays as vessels cost us in excess of $ 15000 per day Main responsibilities Prioritize tasks taken into account level of urgency at export Communicate with all counter parts Handle several issues at same time Keep an accurate position of volumes per commodity (usually 3, wheat , Barley and corn) Avoid bottlenecks Act as trouble shooters in a timely fashion Have enough attention to details to make sure not only goods but also documents are handled as required contractually Finalize files Problem solving At analyst level, at least in the beginning, building strategy is not required, but thinking out of the box (and reporting) - eventually - is must for a successful operator. On the other hand, as in any stage of an operations career, the person should be able to learn properly, ie, understand each topic and steps deeply as opposed to only following procedures Interactions/interface Local (Russia /Ukraine) International (our customers) In house other departments (accounting, arbitration, treasury, trading, etc.) IT (acquire a good knowledge of Atlas and be able to handle excel Education Minimum: Fluent Russian, Ukrainian and English Desirable: University degree Professional experience Local experience, preferably with our office and with actors of the grain industry locally. Very desirable: self-motivation, analytical skills, curiosity, open mind, willingness to do all sorts of tasks will be a good start Knowledge /Technical & Functional skills Desirable to have some knowledge on Excel/Word (at least) and not being afraid of exploring new systems Soft skills Passionate Analytical Organized Detailed “Hands on” Work environment and Additional information Grain operation and trading in direct permanent contact
