We are looking for an experienced Compensation and Benefits Manager to join our team of experts in Human Resources. This role manages the Bank’s payroll function for staff and pensioners, provides advice across the business on sensitive compensation and benefits issues, contributes to policy and governance issues in this area and acts as a deputy for the Head of the Compensation and Benefits. The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional with experience in compensation and benefits or akin business areas, as well as strong interpersonal skills. S/he is a proactive, customer-oriented team player with an affinity for IT applications and is comfortable communicating at all levels of the organisation, maintaining utmost discretion. Key responsibilities: Manage the Bank’s global payroll services (including pension administration) and assure their accuracy and compliance; execute these services in the absence of other payroll staff; manage enhancement projects in this area. In cooperation with the Bank’s IT unit, ensure the functioning, maintenance and development of HR systems. Provide expert advice within HR and across the business on all matters relating to compensation and benefits, including payroll, taxes, social security, pensions and international assignments. Advise line managers and staff on the financial implications of employment-related decisions. Act as a point of contact and source of information for relevant external parties including auditors, lawyers and the authorities. Contribute to the development of compensation and benefits policies. Deputise for the Head of Compensation and Benefits and supervise the payroll officer. Qualifications, skills and experience: Bachelor’s degree in a related field (human resources, finance, IT). Thorough understanding and knowledge of HR policies and practices, compensation and benefits, payroll, finance, taxes and social security. Strong numerical and analytical capabilities. Minimum of eight to 10 years of experience in HR (compensation and benefits, business partnering, operations), payroll, finance or IT, preferably in the financial services sector and/or international financial organisations. Experience in advising staff and line managers (including at senior levels) on sensitive compensation and benefit issues. Experience in managing projects and external vendors. Experience in managing global mobility issues and in developing HR IT systems (desirable). Solution-oriented with the ability to see things through. High level of customer focus with strong interpersonal skills; proactive team player. Ability to deal with highly sensitive topics in a discreet and empathetic manner.
