Arbeitsbeschreibung:
Design protection electronics devices to meet the electrical, mechanical and other specifications. Develop the schematics for the new designs. Write, document and maintain the firmware for the protection electronics based either on FPGA, micro-controllers or other programmable devices. Define application programming interfaces (API) for interfacing the protection electronics with the accelerator control systems. Support the development of high level software tools for data analysis and system maintenance by other teams in the MPE group. Develop software for the automatic test, configuration and maintenance of protection electronics. Prepare all relevant documentation necessary for the operation and maintenance of custom made electronics. Master's degree in the field of Electronics engineering, or equivalent. Profound knowledge of CAE tools used for design entry, verification and simulation. The potential candidate must be familiar with electrical measurement techniques. The candidate must be computer literate with solid knowledge of the standard software applications running on WINDOWSTM and LINUX based computers. Experience with SCADA, systems and field-busses and JAVA would be an asset. Digital circuit design, modelling and simulation: for mixed signal systems. Use data acquisition and treatment software: experience with LabView based data acquisition and test systems would be an asset. Design of electronics based on field programmable logic-based devices: programming of FPGA and microcontrollers. Graphical FPGA programming: expert level knowledge of VHDL. Programming/software development: good knowledge of C/C++ required. Design of digital signal conditioning and processing electronics. Project management. English/French Work in Radiation Areas. Interventions in underground installations. A valid driving licence. Shift work, when required. Stand-by duty, when required. Work during nights, Sundays and official holidays, when required.
