Our competence center in Baden/Aargau, Switzerland, is globally responsible for the development of sophisticated telecommunication solutions for mission critical applications. It is part of ABB’s development network with further sites, amongst others, in US, India, and Sweden.

We currently have an opening for a Product Manager responsible for Telecommunication Solutions targeted at Power Utilities. In this role, you will oversee the full range of activities generally associated with product management in a highly technical field. Tasks
- Responsible for the telecommunication portfolio for power utilities and the business success in this market segment
- Define compelling products and market strategies based on your technical competence as well as market & competitor analysis and drive the implementation of the same in our organization
- Support our sales and technical sales by presenting our solutions to customers worldwide and help them to convince in technical and commercial discussions of our solutions and value proposition
- Drive complete product life cycle including product/features ideas, specification, sponsor development, product introduction, marketing, customer presentations, and product out-phase
- Together with technical sales, be the interface between external customers and ABB internal bodies (e.g. Management, Sales, R&D) by supporting the involved parties with your knowledge and lead our organization to provide a competitive product offering


Requirements
- University degree focusing on Telecommunication or IT (Bachelor/Master), ideally combined with further education in business economics (e.g. MBA)
- A minimum of 5 years experience working in the telecommunications industry or ITC provider with IP/MPLS, MPLS-TP technology; CISCO Certified Network Professional or similar certification with proven track record in designing, consulting, maintaining or advising IP/MPLS, MPLS-TP is a strong asset
- Interest and knowledge of business aspects, ideally already gained experience as a product manager
- Interest in power utility environment, some working experience in this segment is a plus
- Very good command of English; German and French considered as an advantage
- Strong team player with the capability to provide convincing presentations and lead constructive discussions
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills
- Willingness to travel up to 20% internationally
