Main responsibilities: preparing technical bulletins for publication, including checking quality of language and figures, editing text, formatting document, coordinating with authors and printer; preparing a quarterly newsletter, including editing submitted articles, drafting content, editing image files, preparing layout; administrating the website and updating content; web development; assisting with the organization of symposia and meetings; preparing Powerpoint presentations, publicity flyers; IT management of the computers of the association: certain administrative tasks such as database updates, computer backups, handling customer and member inquiries. Required experience and skills: minimum education level: bachelor's degree or equivalent; English mother tongue or equivalent; good knowledge of French; excellent writing and editing skills; experienced, proficient user of MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint); excellent IT skills; Web development and management. Required profile: excellent communications skills; detail-and accuracy-oriented; diligent; conscientious; organized; proactive; positive attitude; team player; able to work independently; able to meet deadlines; able to handle several responsibilities in parallel; high degree of flexibility, in particular the ability to learn new tasks and software and willingness to take on additional tasks when necessary; available for international travel for symposia and/or meetings (once or twice per year). The following additional skills/knowledge would be assets: technical editing experience; communications experience/training; experience with layout software such as Quark Xpress, Indesign; experience with other software such as Filemaker, Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat; website administration experience/training; Accounting knowledge and experience Knowledge of administrative needs in relation with personnel administration and official Swiss accounting other languages.
