Your responsibilities You will contribute from the early development steps of our motion systems until the operation at our customers’ facilities to make the next generations of consumer electronics happen. Your main responsibilities will be to: - Take the lead on the conceptual design phase together with mechanical engineers. You decide the architecture to go for by selecting the kinematics of the motion system and adequately sizing the main components (motors, electronics, cables, sensors). - Actively take part to build the 3D concept of the system. - Assess the validity of the concept by carrying out appropriate simulations. - To be involved in the development of innovative motion control algorithms to have the system working as expected. - Assemble our prototypes in-house. You define the tests to be done, you are involved in the experimental setup and you actually carry out the tests. You analyze the results and do proposals to improve the product performance. You are expected to have an analytical and structured personality for this to happen. Knowledge in metrology is an asset as well. - For the series production, you define the tests to be done in production and you participate in the definition of the acceptance criteria. You follow the product at our customers’ facilities and you bring your knowledge on it to analyze customers’ feedback. Your qualifications • University degree (Master or PhD) in control, electrical or mechanical engineering. • Fluent written and spoken English, French is an advantage. • Proficiency with MATLAB and SIMULINK.
