To strengthen our process development team, we are looking for a:
Senior Process Development Engineer (m/f)

Reporting Line: Group Leader Process Engineering
Your Opportunity: You are responsible for developing new and optimizing existing assembly and manufacturing processes for a range of new and existing Optotune products. You work in close collaboration with the product development team and assure that new processes meet manufacturability and reliability requirements.

Your main responsibilities:
• Evaluation and development of new production processes in particular thin film processing, liquid dispensing, sealing and bonding, as well as automation and electronics integration processes
• Process parameter optimization to improve yield and reliability in close collaboration with the production team.
• Design, qualify and install new and improved production and test equipment
• Identification, assessment and validation of new assembly technologies and / or service providers
• Process documentation and training of co-workers on the new processes
• Planning, execution and reporting on process development activities, in support of the overall project plan and deliverables

Qualifications:
• Degree in engineering, physics or chemistry
• >3 years’ experience in process development and fabrication, preferably in optics or semiconductor (MEMS) industry
• Strong hands-on knowledge and skills in MEMS, electronics or medtec processes (assembly, coating, dispensing) and preferably experienced in handling fluids and polymers at low dosing volumes
• Good supplier network and ability to challenge product and service providers
• Analytical and problem solving skills (FMEA, RCA, DMAIC, 8D Methodology, etc).
• Must be well organized, flexible, autonomous, hands-on
• Good knowledge of German and English
