At a glance:
Provide industry leading product development strategy and process plans to reduce timelines and go to market with increased cost savings for all product categories. We need to incorporate a multi-faceted view of how the current organization launches product and how we can operate more efficient. This position will work directly with footwear, apparel, accessories and hardgoods to co-create seasonal strategies. The Sourcing and Product Launch Development strategist will need the ingredients for design, product line management and development for review the current process and implement new cost saving’s strategies. Under the direction of the Global Head of Product Development and Sourcing, the Product Launch Strategist will research, design and implement new ways of development, sourcing and costing process to build product smarter.

Your mission:
Lead all research prior to the start of the design creative campaigns on how long the current process initially takes and define opportunities for reduction.
Attend relevant meetings with sustainability, innovation, design and development.
Use experience in sourcing skills for apparel and footwear manufactures to create relationship improvements and negotiate cost savings.
Utilize knowledge of category specific consumers to assist in the product creation process. Our performance products create footwear that demands the highest quality standards. Understand the competitive.
Review Sustainability initiatives and launch tracking reports that factories, product and supply chain teams can use and track.
Work with the Materials team to finalize a create process and define new SOPs to create materials
Review current costing process and advise how apparel and footwear can integrate together.
Create and maintain tools that will help with the product creation process. This can include PLM system implementation and process evolution and material design/development.
Ensure an efficient sourcing model and supply chain cost savings

Lead manufacturing and advances and applications to execute new GTM initiatives
Lead efficient costing processes and integrate into our global calendar
Create the seasonal pre-advice to all suppliers and efficient tracking to deliver product on time and potentially reduce lead times.
Create and manage “Standard Operating Procedures” for the global product teams to follow and excel.
Development process analysis and experience leading cross functional teams
Ability to review sketch, commercialization to production process and reduce lead-times.
Required high functioning negotiation skills with apparel and footwear vendors.
Source vendors in a global environment for country of origin optimization.

A Bachelor in a relevant field and a Masters 
5+ years of experience in the field of preferably within the luxury or athletic technical retailers.

Excellent product sense, proven brand and business management skills, and organization skills.

Management experience leading a team of Competent presentation skills, selling and negotiating skills.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong problem solver with knowledge of development and manufacturing techniques.

Tools/ Technology: Extensive computer (word, excel, PowerPoint, Illustrator, and photoshop a must)

Must be able to read, write and be fluent in Mandarin
