Since 2003, Clearlake has operated around a high-quality fleet of Tankers, Gas Carriers and drybulk vessels on a time-charter basis to accommodate Gunvor’s growing needs for ocean transportation across all major ocean routes, in addition to the needs of third-party business. Main Responsibilities Helping build a tier one financial LNG portfolio and trading infrastructure (including P&L management and responsibility), developing and executing a new financial trading strategy to monetize optionality in LNG portfolio. Working closely with European commodities team and local origination to link western and European LNG markets and diversify overall portfolio risk. Responsible for cross commodity trading from physical LNG trades. Interpreting financial/market reports and manage commodity exposure. Executing and coordinating hedging programs. Portfolio focus will be on two geographical areas: i) North Sea ii) Europe (especially Mediterranean regions and Northern Africa markets) Leading Negotiator with counter parties and liaising with internal support services to bring deals to successful conclusion Profile The individual should have the following experience: Education to Masters level in Financial (Economic) or Commodity Industries Minimum of 8-10 years’ work experience in the LNG industry within a recognized international Trading or investment bank. Exposure to working with different counter parties especially Mediterranean countries and North Africa. Managerial & leadership skills (to be able to lead a team of a minimum of 5 people) Excellent knowledge and use of computer applications such as C++/C#, SQL, Bloomberg, Excel and Trading platforms English native. Other languages are a plus.
